Early Life by the Coast

I was born in the Netherlands, in The Hague, not far from the coastline where the sea breathes quietly against the sand. Growing up in that calm yet curious place, the noise and worries of the world seemed to tiptoe around me—never quite reaching the center of my attention.

A Childhood Fascination with Technology

From an early age, I felt a magnetic pull toward the world of computers. Those mysterious grey boxes didn’t just blink and beep—they invited me into another universe. With a few lines of code, I could bring them to life. While others found passion in sports or music, I found it in logic, creation, and digital expression.

Supportive Roots and Choosing a New Path

Fortunately, my parents understood. My father owned a construction company and never pressured me to follow in his footsteps. Instead, they allowed me to discover my own tools—not bricks and concrete, but scripts and servers. So, when life presented its crossroads, I didn’t hesitate. I chose the path of independence and stepped confidently into the world of self-employment. With nothing more than a keyboard and a heart full of ambition, I began building digital worlds of my own—no hard hat required.

25 Years of Software Mastery

Fast forward 25 years, and that childhood spark has evolved into a deep mastery of both software development and the strategic processes that surround it. I thrive in the role of “spider in the web”—the person who connects systems, people, and solutions. Whether I’m architecting complex back-end infrastructures or translating business needs into intuitive digital experiences, my goal remains constant: help others perform at their best by simplifying the complex.

Aligning with WakahChan’s Holistic Mission

Joining WakahChan – Holistic Living has been a truly meaningful chapter in my journey. Their mission to create a conscious, sustainable, and community-driven environment mirrors the values I’ve quietly carried with me for decades. At WakahChan, I’m not just writing code—I’m helping build a digital foundation for a living ecosystem that supports growth, healing, and balance.

Building Technology with Soul

Together with the team, we aim to merge modern technology with ancient wisdom. Every interface we create, every process we streamline, is done with care and intention. We believe that digital tools should serve human connection, not replace it. That’s why each project we touch is not only technically sound but purpose-driven.

A New Chapter in Mexico

🟢 UPDATE: Since March 9th, my partner and I have made the exciting move to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, to join the local WakahChan team in person. Living and working here adds depth to the mission, we’re no longer just building something from afar. We are part of the soil, the sun, the people, and the energy that define this beautiful, growing community.

This isn’t just work. It’s a calling. And I’m grateful to walk this path, keyboard in hand, heart wide open.
