Notably, for the past two consecutive years, it has been voted as the foremost living destination by 12,000 participants worldwide.

Mexico consistently ranks among the best due to its enchanting white sandy beaches, azure waters, warm climate, ease of settlement, and the welcoming attitude of local residents towards foreigners. Overall, 90% of expats express satisfaction with life in Mexico, surpassing the global average of 72%. Approximately three-quarters of expats find it easy to make new friends in Mexico, well above the global average of 43%. This contributes to expats having a robust personal support network and overall satisfaction with their social lives.

In the Expat Essentials Index ranking, housing stands out as a highlighted issue, since in Mexico, it is not only easy to find but also affordable. Whether you’re drawn to the vibrant cities or the tranquil coastal towns, Mexico offers a diverse range of living options for expats.

Mexico secures the top spot in the Culture & Welcome subcategory, with expats expressing ease in adapting to Mexican culture. The country’s affordability is a notable advantage, reflected in its second position in the Personal Finance Index. A significant 71% of respondents are content with their overall cost of living, surpassing the global satisfaction rate of 44%. Additionally, 80% of expats in Mexico express satisfaction with their financial situation, compared to 58% worldwide.
